Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Real Estate and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.69%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were GN Store Nord (CO:GN), which rose 3.73% or 4.6 points to trade at 128.0 at the close. Meanwhile, FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) added 2.25% or 5.2 points to end at 235.8 and Novo Nordisk B (CO:NOVOb) was up 1.72% or 6.5 points to 384.7 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TDC A/S (CO:TDC), which fell 9.59% or 3.35 points to trade at 31.60 at the close. Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA) declined 5.19% or 3.75 points to end at 68.50 and Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) was down 1.41% or 2.6 points to 182.1.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 88 to 71 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in TDC A/S (CO:TDC) fell to 5-year lows; losing 9.59% or 3.35 to 31.60.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 3.20% or 1.00 to $32.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 4.30% or 1.40 to hit $33.97 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.28% or 3.10 to trade at $1117.10 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.04% to 6.8682, while EUR/DKK fell 0.00% to 7.4627.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.10% at 99.17.
