Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Media, Energy and Transport sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 1.68%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY), which rose 2.16% or 0.69 points to trade at 32.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) added 0.83% or 0.1 points to end at 6.0 and Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OL:REC) was unchanged 0.48% or 0.00 points to 0.94 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which fell 11.02% or 0.65 points to trade at 6.15 at the close. Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) declined 10.66% or 2.9 points to end at 24.3 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was down 10.08% or 2.32 points to 20.70.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 113 to 59 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) fell to 5-year lows; falling 10.08% or 2.32 to 20.70.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 4.07% or 1.34 to $31.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 4.20% or 1.44 to hit $32.84 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 0.54% or 6.60 to trade at $1232.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.04% to 9.5361, while USD/NOK fell 0.18% to 8.5746.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.12% at 96.72.
