American Rare Earths Ltd (ASX:ARR, OTCQB:ARRNF) has strengthened its board with the addition of US-based industry veteran Paul Zink as a non-executive director, as the company builds its presence in the United States.
With an impressive track record spanning in excess of 45 years, Zink's expertise encompasses areas like mineral royalties, mineral economics, financial management and strategic planning.
His leadership roles at Timberline Resources, Rare Element Resources and Atna Resources, especially as chair of audit committees, showcase his depth of experience in the industry.
ARR is cementing its position in the rare earths industry and expanding its presence in the United States with the appointment of three highly skilled and accomplished American-based directors to its board.
Building US base
ARR chairman Creagh O’Connor said: “We are very pleased to add Paul to our board as we build our US base.
“His extensive experience in mining and prior knowledge from serving on resource and mineral boards will help us achieve our goals as a leading US explorer and developer of rare earths.”
Notable experience
Zink is a Professor of Practice in the Economics and Business and Mining Engineering departments at the Colorado School of Mines.
His past roles include CFO at Rare Element Resources and Pure Energy Materials and president of International Royalty Corporation.
Starting his career with J.P. Morgan, he has held roles like VP of Mining and Metals Equity Research. An alumnus of Lehigh University, Zink is also affiliated with the Mining and Metallurgical Society of America.
