Accelerate Resources Ltd (ASX:AX8) has staked out more lithium exploration ground in the East Pilbara of WA, acquiring the Windi tenement, a 5-9-kilometre-wide zone interpreted to be prospective for lithium and tantalum mineralisation, two high-value critical minerals.
The company has already begun lithium target generation at the new tenement, following the same methodology used by Global Lithium Resources to produce an estimate of 18 million tonnes at 1.0% lithium at the nearby Archer deposit.
Of particular interest is the Bonney Downs Monzogranite of the Split Rock Suite, recognised to be fertile for lithium-tantalum, of which the tenement covers some 10 kilometres, representing a “substantial” target.

Garden Rock Lithium Project fieldwork
AX8 has also been active on the Garden Rock Lithium Project in the Murchison Region, an area well known for gold in greenstones but under-explored for pegmatite-hosted lithium mineralisation.
Initial indications from the Geological Survey of Western Australia’s (GSWA) open-file geochemical data point to elevated lithium values.
Accelerate believes these elevated lithium levels could be related to a late K-feldspar porphyry intrusion in the Garden Rock Monzogranite.
The company is most interested in the greenstone belt in the eastern area of the Garden Rock project falls, which falls within the 6-8.5-kilometre zone considered prospective for pegmatite-hosted lithium mineralisation.
AX8 intends to complete an initial satellite image interpretation to identify possible lithium-caesium-tantalum (LCT) pegmatites hosted in the greenstones for follow-up field mapping and sampling to determine the lithium prospectivity of the project area.
The work program will include sampling for mineralogical-based geochemical fingerprinting to rank possible pegmatite targets.
