Investing.com – Denmark equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Chemicals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 0.75%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Genmab (CO:GEN), which rose 5.71% or 49.0 points to trade at 907.5 at the close. William Demant Holding (CO:WDH) added 0.61% or 4.0 points to end at 658.5 and ISS A/S (CO:ISS) was up 0.50% or 1.30 points to 262.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb), which lost 2.99% or 265 points to trade at 8590 in late trade. A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) declined 2.96% or 255 points to end at 8360 and Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) shed 2.12% or 6.4 points to 295.6.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 74 to 70 and 24 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.13% or 0.05 to $38.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.32% or 0.13 to hit $40.18 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.59% or 7.20 to trade at $1235.80 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.42% to 6.5454, while EUR/DKK fell 0.01% to 7.4512.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.26% at 94.54.
