Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Auto & components and Software & Computer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP), which rose 3.17% or 4.20 points to trade at 136.80 at the close. Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG) added 3.00% or 0.80 points to end at 27.46 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was up 2.60% or 0.96 points to 37.91 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL), which lost 3.44% or 1.31 points to trade at 36.72 in late trade. TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) declined 2.81% or 4.7 points to end at 162.8 and Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFS) shed 2.70% or 4.0 points to 144.1.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 89 to 88 and 19 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.68% or 0.32 to $46.54 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.84% or 0.41 to hit $48.20 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.39% or 17.65 to trade at $1290.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.09% to 9.0784, while USD/NOK fell 0.60% to 8.2108.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.57% at 97.76.
