Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 1.91%.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p), which rose 3.73% or 540.0 points to trade at 15000.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) added 3.43% or 33.0 points to end at 994.0 and Celsia SA (CN:CEL) was up 3.34% or 100.0 points to 3090.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which fell 28.50% or 815.0 points to trade at 2045.0 at the close. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) declined 1.33% or 20.0 points to end at 1500.0 and Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) was down 0.17% or 100.0 points to 57100.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 26 to 4 and 2 ended unchanged.
Shares in Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU) fell to all time lows; down 28.50% or 815.0 to 2045.0.
US coffee C for March delivery was up 0.94% or 1.07 to $115.95 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 1.08% or 31.00 to hit $2848.50 , while the February Gold contract fell 0.92% or 10.00 to trade at $1077.10 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.95% to 3257.55, while BRL/COP fell 0.57% to 814.22.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.25% at 99.17.
