Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Materials, Telecoms Services and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC fell 1.38% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Empresas ICA , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ICA), which rose 7.76% or 0.250 points to trade at 3.470 at the close. Meanwhile, Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB) added 1.39% or 0.180 points to end at 13.170 and Mexichem , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:MEXCHEM) was up 1.17% or 0.470 points to 40.630 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (MX:GFINBURO), which fell 3.49% or 1.130 points to trade at 31.210 at the close. Grupo Elektra , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ELEKTRA) declined 3.34% or 11.620 points to end at 335.820 and Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte (MX:OMAB) was down 2.78% or 2.190 points to 76.620.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 104 to 41 and 12 ended unchanged.

Gold for February delivery was up 0.91% or 9.60 to $1063.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 2.92% or 1.17 to hit $41.10 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 3.27% or 1.39 to trade at $43.88 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 1.07% to 16.7403, while EUR/MXN rose 4.31% to 18.3413.
The US Dollar Index was down 2.29% at 97.76.
