Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.38%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Yara International ASA (OL:YAR), which rose 3.81% or 13.6 points to trade at 367.6 at the close. Meanwhile, Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) added 1.89% or 0.58 points to end at 31.32 and Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA) was up 1.53% or 0.72 points to 47.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which fell 3.86% or 0.36 points to trade at 8.85 at the close. Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) declined 3.43% or 1.23 points to end at 34.58 and Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR) was down 2.04% or 1.10 points to 52.75.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 95 to 88 and 3 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 2.25% or 1.04 to $45.25 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.61% or 0.79 to hit $47.92 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.96% or 11.30 to trade at $1166.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.68% to 9.2797, while USD/NOK rose 0.64% to 8.1761.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.07% at 94.96.
