Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and Banking & Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.60%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which rose 6.41% or 0.280 points to trade at 4.650 at the close. Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) added 6.17% or 0.014 points to end at 0.241 and Credicorp (LM:BAP) was up 1.50% or 2.100 points to 142.000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Relapasa (LM:REL), which lost 4.30% or 0.011 points to trade at 0.245 in late trade. Milpo (LM:MIL) declined 2.13% or 0.050 points to end at 2.300 and Panoro (LM:PML) shed 1.96% or 0.003 points to 0.150.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 13 to 7 and 11 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.62% or 0.30 to $48.11 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $48.36 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.28% or 3.55 to trade at $1249.35 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3445, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7358.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.06% at 95.23.
