BANGKOK, Aug 18 (Reuters) - Thailand's largest energy firm PTT Pcl PTT.BK said on Thursday it will import 5 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in 2017, up from 3 million tonnes this year.
PTT CEO Tevin Vongvanich told reporters the firm would import more LNG next year. The company is in talks with several LNG suppliers, including Shell (LON:RDSa) and BP (LON:BP) to buy LNG under long-term contracts and said it expects to conclude the details in September, he said.
