Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Metals, Leasing & Factoring and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.87%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Erbosan (IS:ERBOS), which rose 5.33% or 1.95 points to trade at 38.55 at the close. Meanwhile, Kartonsan (IS:KARTN) added 4.12% or 10.00 points to end at 253.00 and Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS) was up 3.38% or 0.40 points to 12.25 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL), which fell 5.21% or 0.80 points to trade at 14.55 at the close. Eregli Demir Celik (IS:EREGL) declined 3.98% or 0.170 points to end at 4.100 and Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) was down 3.85% or 0.010 points to 0.250.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 235 to 164 and 13 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.09% or 1.00 to $1107.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.76% or 0.35 to hit $45.97 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.07% or 0.04 to trade at $48.55 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.14% to 2.8670, while EUR/TRY rose 0.23% to 3.1193.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.13% at 98.12.
