Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Construction & Building Materials, Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure and Software & Computer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.24%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR), which rose 9.19% or 8.25 points to trade at 98.00 at the close. Cartier Saada (CS:CRS) added 5.80% or 1.16 points to end at 21.16 and Oulmes (CS:OULM) was up 5.77% or 73 points to 1338 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Centrale Danone (CS:CDA), which lost 5.87% or 34 points to trade at 545 in late trade. LafargeHolcim Maroc (CS:LHM) declined 2.79% or 65 points to end at 2262 and Timar (CS:TIM) shed 2.73% or 6.00 points to 214.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 25 to 9 and 5 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.64% or 0.28 to $44.35 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.09% or 0.04 to hit $45.62 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.94% or 25.25 to trade at $1279.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.53% to 10.8410, while USD/MAD rose 0.36% to 9.8211.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.92% at 97.83.
