Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 1.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 8.82% or 2.50 points to trade at 30.85 at the close. Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) added 5.26% or 13.9 points to end at 278.0 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) was up 5.09% or 5.20 points to 107.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb), which lost 3.07% or 7.8 points to trade at 246.1 in late trade. Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) declined 1.22% or 2.7 points to end at 219.4 and Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) shed 1.07% or 0.90 points to 83.30.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 341 to 288 and 41 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.53% or 0.69 to $45.67 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.43% or 0.66 to hit $46.70 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.64% or 8.20 to trade at $1282.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.14% to 9.8928, while USD/SEK rose 0.54% to 9.0368.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.42% at 98.29.
