Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 lost 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Jyske Bank A/S (COP:JYSK), which rose 1.23% or 4.3 points to trade at 353.9 at the close. Meanwhile, William Demant Holding (COP:WDH) added 1.15% or 6.0 points to end at 529.5 and Danske Bank A/S (COP:DANSKE) was up 0.70% or 1.5 points to 214.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were FLSmidth & Co. (COP:FLS), which fell 2.07% or 6.9 points to trade at 326.1 at the close. TDC A/S (COP:TDC) declined 1.53% or 0.80 points to end at 51.40 and Carlsberg A/S B (COP:CARLb) was down 1.43% or 9.0 points to 619.5.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 86 to 70 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Jyske Bank A/S (COP:JYSK) rose to 5-year highs; up 1.23% or 4.3 to 353.9. Shares in Danske Bank A/S (COP:DANSKE) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 0.70% or 1.5 to 214.5.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.77% or 0.38 to $48.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.31% or 0.17 to hit $55.95 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.34% or 3.70 to trade at $1095.20 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.60% to 6.7883, while EUR/DKK rose 0.00% to 7.4619.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.37% at 97.26.
