Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.96%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 2.24% or 0.0030 points to trade at 0.1370 at the close. Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) added 0.90% or 0.056 points to end at 6.290 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was up 0.66% or 0.0420 points to 6.4110 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which lost 5.68% or 0.1960 points to trade at 3.2530 in late trade. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) declined 3.32% or 0.4000 points to end at 11.6500 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) shed 3.08% or 0.0190 points to 0.5980.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 34 to 11 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was down 3.70% or 1.68 to $43.69 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 2.73% or 1.22 to hit $43.44 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 2.09% or 27.00 to trade at $1267.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.08% to 1.1395, while EUR/GBP rose 0.14% to 0.7912.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.28% at 94.09.
