Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Goods and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 1.46% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb), which rose 8.01% or 9.00 points to trade at 121.40 at the close. Meanwhile, SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) added 3.91% or 6.0 points to end at 159.5 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) was up 3.79% or 3.05 points to 83.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which fell 1.26% or 0.42 points to trade at 32.82 at the close. Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) declined 0.62% or 0.80 points to end at 127.90 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was up 0.09% or 0.5 points to 548.5.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 360 to 202 and 3 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 2.94% or 1.41 to $46.49 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 3.33% or 1.69 to hit $48.85 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.10% or 1.10 to trade at $1113.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.17% to 9.3730, while USD/SEK rose 1.13% to 8.6311.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.80% at 98.03.
