Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Retail, Insurance and Energy & Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Solidarity Saudi Takaful Co (SE:8290), which rose 5.24% or 0.50 points to trade at 10.05 at the close. Al-Rajhi Cooperative Insurance (SE:8230) added 5.21% or 1.10 points to end at 22.20 and Filing & Packing Materials Co. (SE:2180) was up 3.71% or 1.50 points to 41.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Emaar The Economic City (SE:4220), which lost 5.99% or 0.95 points to trade at 14.90 in late trade. Knowledge Economic City (SE:4310) declined 4.70% or 0.70 points to end at 14.20 and Saudi Cable Company (SE:2110) shed 4.46% or 0.35 points to 7.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 92 to 54 and 23 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.68% or 0.86 to $50.37 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.62% or 0.85 to hit $51.66 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.23% or 2.95 to trade at $1265.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.70% to 4.2452, while USD/SAR rose 0.02% to 3.7504.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.41% at 93.97.
