Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.21% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V), which rose 3.30% or 0.77 points to trade at 24.07 at the close. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) added 1.19% or 0.29 points to end at 24.67 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was up 1.09% or 0.34 points to 31.44 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 2.99% or 0.106 points to trade at 3.444 in late trade. Valmt (HE:VALMT) declined 2.06% or 0.23 points to end at 10.92 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) shed 2.02% or 0.0760 points to 3.6880.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 90 to 78 and 25 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was down 0.67% or 0.33 to $49.26 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.42% or 0.21 to hit $49.27 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.57% or 6.90 to trade at $1213.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.55% to 1.1132, while EUR/GBP fell 0.25% to 0.7611.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.41% at 95.53.
