Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Communication, Banking and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 fell 0.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Gazit Globe (TA:GZT), which rose 3.79% or 112 points to trade at 3066 at the close. Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) added 2.66% or 1620 points to end at 62620 and Isramco L (TA:ISRAp) was up 2.24% or 1.4 points to 63.9 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Teva (TA:TEVA), which lost 1.61% or 360 points to trade at 22040 in late trade. Bezeq (TA:BEZQ) declined 1.53% or 13.6 points to end at 876.0 and Perrigo (TA:PRGO) shed 1.03% or 520 points to 49920.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 191 to 138 and 124 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.92% or 0.63 to $33.41 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 2.48% or 0.88 to hit $36.32 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 0.99% or 12.10 to trade at $1232.50 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.29% to 3.9017, while EUR/ILS fell 1.06% to 4.2408.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.23% at 98.36.
