Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Oil & Gas and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 1.19% to hit a new all time low.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW), which rose 1.84% or 0.23 points to trade at 12.73 at the close. Meanwhile, Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER) added 1.81% or 0.86 points to end at 48.46 and Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE) was up 1.43% or 0.04 points to 2.84 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were mBank SA (WA:MBK), which fell 4.57% or 14.55 points to trade at 304.00 at the close. Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (WA:PGN) declined 4.27% or 0.24 points to end at 5.38 and Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) was down 3.57% or 1.94 points to 52.46.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 290 to 262 and 114 ended unchanged.
Shares in mBank SA (WA:MBK) fell to 3-years lows; losing 4.57% or 14.55 to 304.00.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 2.37% or 1.02 to $42.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.18% or 0.54 to hit $44.92 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.24% or 13.30 to trade at $1056.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.09% to 4.2711, while USD/PLN rose 0.04% to 4.0307.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.24% at 100.11.
