Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Food & Beverages, Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Sider (LM:SID), which rose 15.12% or 0.052 points to trade at 0.396 at the close. Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) added 7.55% or 0.040 points to end at 0.570 and Corporacion Aceros Arequipa SA (LM:ARE) was up 6.67% or 0.040 points to 0.640 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cerro Verde (LM:CVE), which lost 4.55% or 1.000 points to trade at 21.000 in late trade. Casa Grande (LM:CSG) declined 2.98% or 0.200 points to end at 6.500 and Bco Continenta (LM:CON) shed 2.41% or 0.100 points to 4.050.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 16 to 11 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.16% or 0.08 to $48.67 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.08% or 0.04 to hit $51.70 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 1.90 to trade at $1229.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.12% to 3.2508, while EUR/PEN rose 0.08% to 3.4897.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 100.14.
