Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Travel and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite added 0.24%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Athens Medical (AT:AMCr), which rose 6.97% or 0.049 points to trade at 0.760 at the close. Autohellas (AT:AUTr) added 5.26% or 0.63 points to end at 12.60 and Aegean Airlines (AT:AGNr) was up 2.91% or 0.20 points to 7.07 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Iaso (AT:IASr), which lost 4.58% or 0.028 points to trade at 0.583 in late trade. Centric Hold (AT:DESr) declined 3.74% or 0.004 points to end at 0.103 and Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) shed 3.61% or 0.006 points to 0.160.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 52 to 49 and 25 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.28% or 3.35 to $1204.75 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.14% or 0.07 to hit $48.42 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.14% or 0.07 to trade at $51.44 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.05% to 1.0673, while EUR/GBP fell 0.68% to 0.8721.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 101.09.
