Investing.com – Poland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Information Technology, Developers and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 added 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Lubelski Wegiel Bogdanka SA (WA:LWBP), which rose 3.45% or 1.10 points to trade at 33.00 at the close. Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP) added 3.33% or 1.90 points to end at 59.00 and Synthos SA (WA:SNS) was up 1.77% or 0.07 points to 4.02 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CCC SA (WA:CCCP), which lost 3.40% or 5.10 points to trade at 144.90 in late trade. PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA:PGE) declined 3.00% or 0.39 points to end at 12.62 and Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE) shed 2.77% or 0.07 points to 2.46.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 263 to 231 and 160 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 2.90% or 0.98 to $34.73 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.80% or 0.66 to hit $37.23 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.40% or 4.90 to trade at $1229.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.46% to 4.3295, while USD/PLN fell 0.14% to 3.9937.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.24% at 98.52.
