Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 2.65%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Modern Times Group MTG AB ser. B (ST:MTGBs), which rose 9.25% or 18.4 points to trade at 217.3 at the close. Meanwhile, Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) added 4.17% or 3.25 points to end at 81.10 and Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) was up 3.83% or 3.50 points to 94.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sandvik AB (ST:SAND), which fell 0.15% or 0.10 points to trade at 68.60 at the close. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) added 0.94% or 1.20 points to end at 128.60 and Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA) was up 0.99% or 0.55 points to 55.90.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 349 to 91 and 2 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) fell to 5-year lows; falling 0.15% or 0.10 to 68.60.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.91% or 0.41 to $45.32 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.16% or 0.07 to hit $48.09 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.68% or 7.90 to trade at $1145.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.08% to 9.4071, while USD/SEK rose 0.20% to 8.3986.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.28% at 96.37.
