Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Trading, Telecoms and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share gained 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH), which rose 16.67% or 0.10 points to trade at 0.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Muller & Phipps PLC (CM:MULL) added 15.38% or 0.20 points to end at 1.50 and Central Investments and Finance PLC (CM:CIFL) was up 12.50% or 0.100 points to 0.900 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Office Equipment PLC (CM:OFEQ), which fell 17.22% or 430.30 points to trade at 2069.10 at the close. EB Creasy and Company PLC (CM:EBCR) declined 16.67% or 200.00 points to end at 1000.00 and SMB Leasing PLC (CM:SEMB) was down 10.00% or 0.10 points to 1.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 111 to 105 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH) rose to all time lows; gaining 16.67% or 0.10 to 0.60. Shares in SMB Leasing PLC (CM:SEMB) fell to 52-week lows; losing 10.00% or 0.10 to 1.00.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.30% or 0.60 to $45.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.47% or 0.23 to hit $48.48 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.24% or 2.80 to trade at $1174.70 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was unchanged 0.00% to 218.285, while USD/LKR rose 0.22% to 141.340.
The US Dollar Index was unchanged 0.00% at 94.89.
