Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Transport, Healthcare Equipment & Services and Consumer Durables And Apparel sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.45%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OL:REC), which rose 6.35% or 0.08 points to trade at 1.32 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) added 6.01% or 19.6 points to end at 345.6 and Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR) was up 3.16% or 1.80 points to 58.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE), which lost 3.16% or 0.8 points to trade at 24.5 in late trade. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) declined 2.33% or 0.13 points to end at 5.45 and Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) shed 1.65% or 0.1 points to 8.4.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 104 to 68 and 12 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 5.04% or 1.81 to $37.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 5.02% or 1.90 to hit $39.77 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.15% or 1.80 to trade at $1227.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.09% to 9.4750, while USD/NOK fell 0.43% to 8.2938.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.31% at 94.32.
