Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Communication, Biomed and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 lost 0.71%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which rose 3.31% or 2140 points to trade at 66890 at the close. Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) added 3.17% or 1900 points to end at 61800 and Strauss Group (TA:STRS) was up 0.99% or 60 points to 6149 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bezeq (TA:BEZQ), which lost 3.57% or 27.0 points to trade at 729.0 in late trade. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) declined 3.04% or 126 points to end at 4021 and Gazit Globe (TA:GZT) shed 1.97% or 69 points to 3425.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 211 to 122 and 112 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.65% or 0.32 to $49.24 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.90% or 0.45 to hit $49.29 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.11% or 1.35 to trade at $1222.45 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.29% to 3.8320, while EUR/ILS rose 0.03% to 4.2862.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.24% at 95.17.
