Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Real Estate Development, Insurance and Media & Publishing sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Solidarity Saudi Takaful Co (SE:8290), which rose 10.34% or 0.75 points to trade at 8.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Tihama Advertising&Public Relations (SE:4070) added 9.87% or 3.10 points to end at 34.50 and Saudi Industrial Export Co (SE:4140) was up 9.73% or 2.90 points to 32.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Takween Advanced Industries (SE:1201), which fell 4.73% or 0.95 points to trade at 19.15 at the close. Saudi Chemical Company (SE:2230) declined 3.60% or 1.80 points to end at 48.20 and Emaar The Economic City (SE:4220) was down 3.56% or 0.50 points to 13.55.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 100 to 54 and 13 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 3.22% or 0.99 to $29.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 2.36% or 0.81 to hit $33.26 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 2.15% or 24.90 to trade at $1182.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.52% to 4.1635, while USD/SAR fell 0.01% to 3.7501.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.41% at 97.38.
