Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Financials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which rose 5.01% or 0.315 points to trade at 6.600 at the close. Montepio (LS:MPIO) added 1.41% or 0.008 points to end at 0.577 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) was up 1.15% or 0.0920 points to 8.0670 in late trade.
Biggest losers included The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR), which lost 2.04% or 0.0580 points to trade at 2.7830 in late trade. Sonae (LS:YSO) declined 1.92% or 0.0180 points to end at 0.9190 and Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) shed 1.50% or 0.0020 points to 0.1310.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 25 to 21 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was down 0.64% or 0.31 to $47.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 1.16% or 0.54 to hit $46.16 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.11% or 1.35 to trade at $1272.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.69% to 1.1297, while EUR/GBP rose 0.20% to 0.7861.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.62% at 94.69.
