Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Chemicals, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS), which rose 2.45% or 11.4 points to trade at 476.0 at the close. Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) added 1.77% or 4.7 points to end at 270.5 and Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) was up 1.64% or 3.1 points to 192.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb), which lost 1.95% or 170 points to trade at 8530 in late trade. A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) declined 1.90% or 160 points to end at 8240 and TDC A/S (CO:TDC) shed 1.45% or 0.50 points to 33.95.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 75 to 67 and 24 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.53% or 0.26 to $49.22 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.79% or 0.39 to hit $49.20 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.58% or 7.10 to trade at $1213.30 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.54% to 6.6790, while EUR/DKK rose 0.00% to 7.4367.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.41% at 95.53.
