Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Public Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 2.16% or 50.0 points to trade at 2360.0 at the close. Cemargos (CN:CCB) added 1.21% or 140.0 points to end at 11740.0 and Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) was up 0.82% or 220.0 points to 27180.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which lost 1.59% or 0.3 points to trade at 18.6 in late trade. Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p) declined 1.05% or 400.0 points to end at 37680.0 and Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) shed 0.99% or 140.0 points to 14000.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 20 to 9 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 0.71% or 0.98 to $138.00 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 0.55% or 16.50 to hit $3006.50 , while the December Gold contract fell 0.65% or 8.80 to trade at $1343.10 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 2.50% to 2890.50, while BRL/COP fell 2.77% to 920.78.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.29% at 95.87.
