Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Investment, Industrials and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 1.13%.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI), which rose 3.39% or 400.0 points to trade at 12200.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) added 3.19% or 440.0 points to end at 14240.0 and Cemargos (CN:CCB) was up 2.98% or 260.0 points to 8980.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which fell 10.51% or 370.0 points to trade at 3150.0 at the close. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) declined 2.05% or 35.0 points to end at 1670.0 and Celsia SA (CN:CEL) was down 1.84% or 45.0 points to 2400.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 20 to 10 and 1 ended unchanged.
Shares in Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU) fell to all time lows; down 10.51% or 370.0 to 3150.0.
US coffee C for March delivery was up 0.76% or 0.95 to $126.53 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 1.50% or 50.00 to hit $3372.50 , while the February Gold contract fell 0.09% or 1.00 to trade at $1074.30 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.85% to 3280.50, while BRL/COP rose 0.35% to 874.52.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.05% at 97.38.
