Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the S&P Lima Juniors, Industrials and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which rose 4.35% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.240 at the close. Meanwhile, Casa Grande (LM:CSG) added 2.63% or 0.100 points to end at 3.900 and Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) was up 2.27% or 0.050 points to 2.250 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Corporacion Aceros Arequipa SA (LM:ARE), which fell 10.52% or 0.047 points to trade at 0.400 at the close. Panoro (LM:PML) declined 9.26% or 0.010 points to end at 0.098 and Sider (LM:SID) was down 9.09% or 0.010 points to 0.100.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 12 to 9 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sider (LM:SID) fell to all time lows; down 9.09% or 0.010 to 0.100.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.35% or 0.14 to $41.58 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.67% or 0.29 to hit $44.48 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.05% or 0.50 to trade at $1077.40 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.03% to 3.3543, while EUR/PEN fell 0.28% to 3.5817.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.61% at 99.69.
