Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Financials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which rose 0.95% or 0.060 points to trade at 6.350 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) added 0.86% or 0.1000 points to end at 11.7500 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was up 0.27% or 0.0170 points to 6.4280 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which lost 2.66% or 0.0009 points to trade at 0.0329 in late trade. The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) declined 0.79% or 0.0230 points to end at 2.8930 and Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) shed 0.73% or 0.0010 points to 0.1360.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 26 to 24 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was up 3.67% or 1.60 to $45.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 2.26% or 0.98 to hit $44.42 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.34% or 4.25 to trade at $1262.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.02% to 1.1380, while EUR/GBP fell 0.20% to 0.7883.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.08% at 94.22.
