Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Insurance, Technology and Communication sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.56% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Perrigo (TA:PRGO), which rose 9.01% or 2200 points to trade at 26610 at the close. Mylan NV (TA:MYL) added 2.30% or 310 points to end at 13770 and Teva (TA:TEVA) was up 1.88% or 210 points to 11370 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Airport City Ltd (TA:ARPT), which lost 2.39% or 119 points to trade at 4860 in late trade. Amot Investments Ltd (TA:AMOT) declined 1.53% or 27 points to end at 1735 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) shed 1.52% or 123 points to 7990.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 228 to 175 and 99 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.81% or 0.40 to $49.96 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.25% or 0.13 to hit $52.70 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.21% or 2.66 to trade at $1264.54 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.04% to 3.6408, while EUR/ILS fell 0.42% to 3.9605.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 99.04.
