Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Banking and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 declined 0.55%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Osem (TA:OSEM), which rose 2.42% or 151 points to trade at 6382 at the close. Meanwhile, Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) added 1.18% or 720 points to end at 61500 and First International Bank of Israel (TA:FTIN) was up 1.11% or 50 points to 4566 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Avner L (TA:AVNRp), which fell 2.55% or 5.3 points to trade at 202.7 at the close. Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) declined 2.35% or 25 points to end at 1039 and Azrieli Group (TA:AZRG) was down 2.04% or 290 points to 13920.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 172 to 154 and 127 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.32% or 0.10 to $31.35 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.89% or 0.29 to hit $32.86 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.34% or 3.80 to trade at $1116.40 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.20% to 3.9714, while EUR/ILS rose 0.23% to 4.3176.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.07% at 99.14.
