Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Energy & Utilities, Petrochemicals and Cement sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share declined 0.88%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Alinma Tokio Marine Co (SE:8312), which rose 10.00% or 2.30 points to trade at 25.30 at the close. Meanwhile, The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (SE:8030) added 9.36% or 2.20 points to end at 25.70 and BURUJ COOPERATIVE INSURANCE CO (SE:8270) was up 9.20% or 1.50 points to 17.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saudi Industrial Investment Group (SE:2250), which fell 7.07% or 1.10 points to trade at 14.45 at the close. Yanbu National Petrochemical Co (SE:2290) declined 6.69% or 2.40 points to end at 33.50 and National Petrochemical Company (SE:2002) was down 6.49% or 1.25 points to 18.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 94 to 72.
Shares in Yanbu National Petrochemical Co (SE:2290) fell to 5-year lows; down 6.69% or 2.40 to 33.50. Shares in National Petrochemical Company (SE:2002) fell to 3-years lows; down 6.49% or 1.25 to 18.00.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.96% or 0.35 to $37.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.11% or 0.41 to hit $37.02 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.22% or 2.30 to trade at $1070.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.00% to 4.1139, while USD/SAR rose 0.05% to 3.7519.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.19% at 98.17.
