Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Beverage, Mining and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.15%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Brasseries Du Maroc (CS:SBM), which rose 6.00% or 111 points to trade at 1961 at the close. Meanwhile, Miniere Touissit (CS:CMT) added 5.96% or 60 points to end at 1066 and Colorado (CS:COL) was up 5.24% or 3.84 points to 77.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Risma (CS:RIS), which fell 5.32% or 7.70 points to trade at 137.00 at the close. Balima (CS:BAL) declined 5.06% or 5.55 points to end at 104.00 and Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) was down 3.59% or 1.62 points to 43.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 16 to 13 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Risma (CS:RIS) fell to 52-week lows; down 5.32% or 7.70 to 137.00. Shares in Balima (CS:BAL) fell to 5-year lows; down 5.06% or 5.55 to 104.00.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 6.23% or 2.69 to $45.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 4.99% or 2.33 to hit $49.15 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.08% or 12.60 to trade at $1178.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.01% to 10.8390, while USD/MAD fell 0.17% to 9.7900.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.34% at 96.70.
