Investing.com – Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Services, Banking & Financials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite lost 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were San Miguel Cor (PS:SMC), which rose 4.17% or 2.000 points to trade at 50.000 at the close. Meanwhile, Lt Group (PS:LTG) added 2.43% or 0.280 points to end at 11.780 and Petron (PS:PCOR) was up 1.45% or 0.100 points to 7.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Phi Long Dis T (PS:TEL), which fell 3.36% or 80.00 points to trade at 2300.00 at the close. Globe Telecom (PS:GLO) declined 2.06% or 48.000 points to end at 2282.000 and Bloomberry Res (PS:BLOOM) was down 1.65% or 0.100 points to 5.950.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 104 to 77 and 13 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.43% or 4.90 to $1143.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.82% or 0.39 to hit $48.20 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.05% or 0.54 to trade at $51.87 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.05% to 7.2621, while USD/PHP rose 0.01% to 46.141.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.35% at 95.31.
