Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Technology and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.73%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVBs), which rose 2.40% or 6.0 points to trade at 255.9 at the close. Meanwhile, Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) added 2.19% or 4.4 points to end at 204.9 and Investor AB ser. B (ST:INVEb) was up 2.16% or 6.6 points to 311.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which fell 2.63% or 0.59 points to trade at 21.83 at the close. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) declined 1.65% or 2.30 points to end at 136.70 and Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) was down 0.72% or 0.90 points to 124.30.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 370 to 203 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) fell to 5-year lows; down 2.63% or 0.59 to 21.83.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 2.22% or 0.79 to $34.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.39% or 0.14 to hit $37.24 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 2.34% or 25.20 to trade at $1051.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.28% to 9.2502, while USD/SEK rose 0.71% to 8.5572.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.89% at 99.28.
