Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Media & Publishing, Energy & Utilities and Telecoms & IT sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share declined 0.58% to hit a new 5-year low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were BURUJ COOPERATIVE INSURANCE CO (SE:8270), which rose 9.89% or 1.30 points to trade at 14.45 at the close. Halwani Bros (SE:6001) added 6.32% or 3.00 points to end at 50.50 and AL-BABTAIN POWER &TELECOM CO (SE:2320) was up 5.94% or 1.15 points to 20.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fawaz Abdulaziz AlHokair Company (SE:4240), which lost 7.92% or 2.40 points to trade at 27.90 in late trade. Al Sagr Co-operative Insurance Co (SE:8180) declined 7.57% or 2.40 points to end at 29.30 and Salama Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8050) shed 6.38% or 0.60 points to 8.80.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 87 to 64 and 15 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.29% or 0.14 to $48.38 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.22% or 0.11 to hit $50.30 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.09% or 1.25 to trade at $1315.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.11% to 4.2125, while USD/SAR rose 0.03% to 3.7524.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.16% at 95.53.
