Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Utilities, Technology and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 1.26%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which fell 0.03% or 0.01 points to trade at 38.58 at the close. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) fell 0.42% or 0.16 points to end at 38.28 and Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) was down 0.67% or 0.27 points to 39.87 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 3.75% or 0.2050 points to trade at 5.2550 in late trade. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) declined 2.37% or 0.97 points to end at 39.92 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) shed 2.05% or 0.082 points to 3.922.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 124 to 51 and 14 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was up 0.37% or 0.18 to $49.41 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.47% or 0.22 to hit $46.36 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.48% or 6.45 to trade at $1350.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.12% to 1.1265, while EUR/GBP rose 0.20% to 0.8662.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.15% at 94.89.
