Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Biomed, Banking and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 gained 0.22% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which rose 2.81% or 1670 points to trade at 61170 at the close. Leumi (TA:LUMI) added 1.37% or 18 points to end at 1331 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) was up 1.34% or 20 points to 1510 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Delek Group (TA:DLEKG), which lost 0.87% or 700 points to trade at 80150 in late trade. Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) declined 0.82% or 510 points to end at 61800 and OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) shed 0.73% or 28 points to 3830.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 181 to 147 and 110 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.09% or 0.04 to $45.45 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.09% or 0.04 to hit $46.80 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.10% or 1.30 to trade at $1359.70 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.12% to 3.8780, while EUR/ILS fell 0.18% to 4.2835.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.32% at 96.62.
