Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Food, Telecoms and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite declined 0.39%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Reds (AT:CAMr), which rose 7.21% or 0.022 points to trade at 0.327 at the close. A.S. Company (AT:ASCr) added 6.10% or 0.021 points to end at 0.365 and Lykos Inform. (AT:LYKr) was up 4.58% or 0.02 points to 0.48 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Frigoglass (AT:FRIr), which lost 16.43% or 0.06 points to trade at 0.30 in late trade. ThesKi Water (AT:TWSr) declined 5.30% or 0.17 points to end at 3.04 and National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr) shed 4.17% or 0.01 points to 0.23.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 42 to 36 and 22 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for June delivery was up 0.93% or 11.30 to $1230.60 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $35.70 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.03% or 0.01 to trade at $37.70 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.16% to 1.1372, while EUR/GBP rose 0.79% to 0.8045.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.15% at 94.73.
