Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Utilities, Basic Materials and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 1.29% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 0.77% or 0.20 points to trade at 26.09 at the close. Meanwhile, Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) added 0.17% or 0.05 points to end at 30.08 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) was up 0.04% or 0.01 points to 23.11 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which fell 5.14% or 0.182 points to trade at 3.358 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 2.86% or 0.0740 points to end at 2.5120 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V) was down 2.70% or 0.36 points to 12.96.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 144 to 43 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V) fell to 3-years lows; losing 2.70% or 0.36 to 12.96.
Brent oil for February delivery was up 0.57% or 0.22 to $38.54 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 2.25% or 0.80 to hit $36.42 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 1.05% or 11.30 to trade at $1064.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.29% to 1.1025, while EUR/GBP rose 0.75% to 0.7280.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.13% at 97.47.
