Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Banking, Communication and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 fell 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Gazit Globe (TA:GZT), which rose 3.19% or 125 points to trade at 4049 at the close. Meanwhile, Perrigo (TA:PRGO) added 2.33% or 1330 points to end at 58500 and Teva (TA:TEVA) was up 1.58% or 380 points to 24390 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Frutarom (TA:FRUT), which fell 2.80% or 490 points to trade at 17010 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) declined 1.99% or 38 points to end at 1867 and Bezeq (TA:BEZQ) was down 1.36% or 11.0 points to 796.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 222 to 131 and 97 ended unchanged.
Shares in ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) fell to 5-year lows; losing 1.99% or 38 to 1867.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.79% or 0.34 to $42.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.96% or 0.45 to hit $45.67 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.25% or 2.70 to trade at $1071.10 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.55% to 3.8793, while EUR/ILS rose 0.15% to 4.1124.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.33% at 100.02.
