Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Industrials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.58% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa), which rose 2.16% or 2.2 points to trade at 104.1 at the close. Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) added 1.69% or 3.9 points to end at 235.1 and Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) was up 1.53% or 2.1 points to 139.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which lost 1.11% or 2.00 points to trade at 178.40 in late trade. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) declined 0.49% or 0.50 points to end at 101.00 and Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs) shed 0.12% or 0.2 points to 173.4.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 330 to 247 and 59 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.72% or 0.33 to $46.01 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.84% or 0.40 to hit $47.77 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.27% or 3.55 to trade at $1328.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.06% to 9.4533, while USD/SEK rose 0.54% to 8.5428.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.52% at 96.60.
