Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Real Estate, Invest Companies & Other Finance and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Snep (CS:SNP), which rose 5.98% or 4.87 points to trade at 86.18 at the close. Meanwhile, Med Paper (CS:PAP) added 4.67% or 0.58 points to end at 12.98 and Ennakl (CS:NAKL) was up 3.31% or 1.26 points to 39.26 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Eqdom (CS:EQDM), which fell 5.99% or 53 points to trade at 828 at the close. Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR) declined 5.03% or 5.30 points to end at 100.00 and Colorado (CS:COL) was down 3.98% or 2.43 points to 58.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 20 to 16 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Eqdom (CS:EQDM) fell to 5-year lows; falling 5.99% or 53 to 828.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 5.63% or 1.59 to $29.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 5.88% or 1.64 to hit $29.52 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 1.05% or 11.60 to trade at $1094.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.18% to 10.7580, while USD/MAD fell 0.16% to 9.8850.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.23% at 99.39.
