Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as in the sectors propelled shares .
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite unchanged 0.00% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Hygeia (AT:HYGr), which rose 17.68% or 0.058 points to trade at 0.386 at the close. Select Textile (AT:EPIr) added 9.24% or 0.023 points to end at 0.272 and Ellaktor SA (AT:HELr) was up 8.86% or 0.140 points to 1.720 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr), which lost 3.91% or 0.009 points to trade at 0.221 in late trade. Terna Energy (AT:TENr) declined 2.94% or 0.120 points to end at 3.960 and Jumbo SA (AT:BABr) shed 2.77% or 0.440 points to 15.460.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 67 to 38 and 18 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.40% or 4.82 to $1224.02 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.15% or 0.07 to hit $47.14 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.08% or 0.04 to trade at $49.72 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.12% to 1.1350, while EUR/GBP fell 0.01% to 0.8782.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 95.98.
